She should have taken the kid to the ER every single time. In Iowa, there are many different people/professions that are manditory reporters and I don't know of any Dr that is blown off or ignored when they report anything. Sadly, I think the mother's credibility caused her claims to be taken as her trying to get back at the father and ignored. It's all BS. I was abused as a child and I told teachers, etc over and over and each time DHS came to investigate... I was acused of lying, etc until I was 16 and I finally couldn't take it any more and attemped to end it. THEN and only then did anyone do anything - I spent 4 months in a group home and finally a foster home. It took me 11 years to get anyone to do anything for me. This mother had her faults, but the state was obviously not interested in listening to her becuase they could just say she was only reporting abuse because she was bent out of shape over the fact she lost custody. I think she should have (but I'm not blaming her) contacted a TV news station. This seems like something that could have been a great story and might have gotten someone to do SOMETHING to protect this little man. Rest In Peace little guy. I hope there's a special place in hell for people who fail to protect a child.

I hate to speak poor of the dead, but the way she talked to her son in her video is so sad. She was so worried about documenting assets and basically telling her child to shut up. I understand she was probably very stressed and unsure what to do. But it's still hard to hear. 🙏 please, if you're in an abusive relationship and under so much stress, leave with the clothes on your back and what's needed to survive. It might save your life. It's not right or fair, but it's better to get away. Once you're safe, then think about going to court.

He had trouble carrying her cuz they were fighting. She was angry at him when she came to and the fighting escalated-- then he strangled her.

He hit her in the head and kicked her and tried to drown her in the river, then locked her out of the van (like hes done before) Finally strangling her and leaving her body to be eaten or torn up. His biggest fear was getting caught and when it looked like he'd be found out-- he killed himself, leaving written lies, changing the narrative in hopes those thinking he was guilty would feel bad.
